School Bands: The W.P.S. Music Committee provides opportunities for students to become involved in playing an instrument and playing in the band. Currently, there is a stage, concert, intermediate, junior and a beginners band program (and a recorder group for year 2). Tutorials and practices are held before and after school. This is a parent-funded program. Band members attend the school music camp in May and then perform in the Yamaha Music Festival, where they have won numerous gold medals.
