The P & C:  The Wahroonga Public School Parents & Citizens Association (P&C) executive consists of twelve members, all of whom are elected from the school parent community. Details of the current members can be found by clicking the 'P and C Executive' link below.

The primary objective of any P&C is to bring the wider community closer together. This includes school staff, students and parents/caregivers. In 2008 activities organised by the WPS P&C to achieve this objective were:
"Tea and Tissues" for Kindergarten parents on their child's first day of school.
Drinks evening for new school parents.
Student Disco
Mothers Day Fashion Parade
Fathers Day Breakfast

A secondary objective of the P&C is endeavour to raise much needed funding for the Bush School. This fundraising has three objectives. The P&C has an annual objective of contributing $20,000 to the School to be put towards the Key Learning Areas (KLA's). The primary source of funding this is from the sub committee run Canteen and Uniform Shop.

In addition to the KLA funding the P&C raise funds to be spent on grounds maintenance. Most recently this was spent on safety related issues - cleaning the main entrance boardwalk and topping up the softfall Playbark in the adventure playground.

Additional fundraising events during the school year endeavour to combine the unification of the school community with raising money to be spent on improvents to the learning environment. In 2008 these included:
Family portraits, Chocolate drive,
Bush School Fair and Mango Trays.

Due to the above activities the P&C was able fund the purchase of three interactive whiteboards and to fund the cooling of some of the hotter classrooms.

Details of future events can be found by going to the the Diary Dates page. Please read the P&C News section of the Bush Telegraph for additional information.
